Ring in the new year with Cirque du Soleil at Disney

La Nouba by Cirque du Soleil will have two performances to help ring in the new year at the Walt Disney Resort.

On Sunday, Dec. 31, La Nouba will offer 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. shows complete with glasses of champagne and limited edition souvenir programs. Tickets are offered in four categories and range from $87 plus tax ($74, for kids 3-9) to $136 plus tax ($114, for kids 3-9).

There is no admission charge to access the theater, located in Downtown Disney.

31st Annual Festival of the Masters - Downtown Disney


Artwork brightens Downtown Disney at Walt Disney World Resort in Lake Buena Vista, Fla., during the annual Festival of the Masters. The event features artistic creations from more than 200 artists, live entertainment, children's activities and culinary treats. The annual event takes place at Downtown Disney Nov. 10 - 12 and there is no charge for admission.

Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex offers free admission to veterans, active military personnel

In honor of Veterans Day, Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex will offer free admission to veterans and active military personnel on Friday, November 10 through Sunday, November 12, 2006. Coinciding with Veterans Day is the 40th Anniversary of Gemini XII and, in celebration, Astronauts Jim Lovell and Buzz Aldrin will give a special Veterans Day public presentation Saturday, November 11 at 4:15 p.m. at the Visitor Complex. Commander Jim Lovell and Pilot Buzz Aldrin launched from Kennedy Space Center on November 11, 1966 aboard the final Gemini mission, paving the way for the Apollo flights that would later take Lovell, Aldrin and 22 of their fellow astronauts to the Moon.

Guests will have full access to Visitor Complex shows and exhibits, take a behind-the-scenes tour of Kennedy Space Center, see Space Shuttle launch pads, walk beneath a Saturn V rocket at the
Apollo/Saturn V Center, view the IMAX® films Magnificent Desolation: Walking on the Moon 3D and Space Station 3D, and tour the U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame.

To receive free admission, veterans and active members of the military must present a military ID, VA card or government-issued discharge papers at the Visitor Complex will-call ticket window.
Please note that seating is limited to the first 400 guests. The Gemini XII crew will not be available for photographs or book/autograph signings

ABC Super Soap Weekend’ At Disney-MGM Nov. 11 -12


"All My Children's" Susan Lucci will headline the lineup of ABC daytime stars at the 11th annual "ABC Super Soap Weekend" on Nov. 11-12, with a special guest appearance by "The View's" newest co-host, Rosie O'Donnell.

On Nov. 10, Colgate® Total® will present "Love In The Afternoon: Luke & Laura 25 Years" at Disney-MGM Studios. ABC and Disney will join together to commemorate the infamous nuptials that were seen by the largest audience in daytime TV history with over 30 million viewers, a record that still holds today. The celebration will unite Anthony Geary and Genie Francis in their first public appearance in decades, which coincides with Francis' return as Laura Spencer to ABC's "General Hospital" this October. Fans are invited to join in the festivities for this event that will take place on Friday afternoon before the official start of "ABC Super Soap Weekend."

Joining Susan Lucci from "All My Children" are Justin Bruening, Alexa Havins, Thorsten Kaye, Michael E. Knight, Cameron Mathison, Cady McClain, Alicia Minshew, Eden Riegel, Aiden Turner and Jacob Young. "One Life to Live's" Erika Slezak will make her second appearance at "ABC Super Soap Weekend" joined by cast-mates Kristen Alderson, Kathy Brier, Kamar de los Reyes, Kassie DePaiva, Michael Easton, David Fumero, Melissa Gallo, Renée Goldsberry, John-Paul Lavoisier, Forbes March, Trevor St. John and Bree Williamson. Completing the list, from "General Hospital," will be Julie Berman, Scott Clifton, Rebecca Herbst, Kimberly McCullough, Kelly Monaco, Jason Thompson, Greg Vaughan and Laura Wright.

Throughout the weekend, fans will have the opportunity to meet favorite stars from "All My Children," "One Life to Live" and "General Hospital." Festivities include celebrity motorcades, autograph sessions, talk shows, interviews and the chance to purchase one-of-a-kind memorabilia from each of the shows. The Colgate Total Street Jam will close the event each day with live musical performances by some favorite Daytime stars.
